lets just say ive just got back in after using 4 tyres and a shed load of diesel. the elms wood is covered in ivy and the bonfire is thesize of a massive local display bonfire maybe even bigger. so no ammount of straw and firelighters will do unless i had a artic load. GOT TO GET THE HEAT THERE GUYS

Hi Guys just bending you ears for a second. ive been doing a massive dead elm clearance we have had a jcb etc on the job, weve got the biggest bonfire you have ever seen waiting to be lit. just wanted your opinion as to best way of getting it going. im a good fire starter under normal circumstances but this is BIG cheers
  8. on my second 441 fresh today its so clean my wife would let me take it to bed haha seriously though my 2nd 441 and they are a fantastic saw plenty of grunt lite enough for all day use and fuel efficiency is great had my dealer stick a 20in bar on her. normaly use a 18in bar which in my opinion is perfect. i have been known to run a 660 with a 18in bar oh my god feels like the saw wants to rip your arms of
  9. i had a set for ayear or so absolitely brilliant changed a lonley job back into a fun job , i realy miss them just got a bit pissed off with taking them to be repaired for the 5th time eventualy asked the makers (talking heads) to swap over to 2ways and ptt who were fine about the swap the best thing you can do is get yourself some spare bash hats and defenders for when you dont need them i used to love taking the piss when the groundy was talking to the customers. we had some fun with are arbcomms worth every penny ps if you want to set up a 3rd headset it cost big bucks ££££££
  10. i have used a old fly fishing multiplier reel with 30 meters of throw line and bag clipped to my harness in the past saves a lot of hassle whilst your climbing. its always handy to drop it down for the groundy to send up the flask haha
  11. Dito !!! a jobs a job and money makes the world go around. also kill plenty of good healthy trees at customers request. you will never change the customers mind as to what they want from you
  12. i think half the problem stems from when my dad was a tree surgeon. he tells me that they were surposed to burn on site but never did. ive got a load of dead elms coming up and the customer wants to try and flog the timber ??? i wonder what trouble you would get in if i parked up my truck with a load of infected timber in the middle of brighton and infected all the street trees?
  13. Chin up , ride the storm now i am not a religious freak but when my **** hits my fan i do find myself asking the big guy. and 9 out of 10 times the phone rings and if it dont then it means i have to do a bit more ie that big box of leaflets sitting in the corner of the dining room. inother words you may pray that your win the lottery hey we all do now hes not gona give you that one but he will give you as much a chance as every one else, you just got to buy the ticket. look for help in the unusual places thats where you will find the answers. freak over and out
