  1. just had a quote off nfu.. for buissness insurance,£4000, i told them i want insurance not shares in their company, had a quote off assure uk £619.50. 5million public ,is there any other insures out there that are cheaper thanassure ??? andy
  2. hi paul ive been looking into doing the hedge laying course myself, its a 3 day course £160. there is different variations in prices as there are in styles,an average price is around £10 a meter where im from theres the breconshire,the monmouthshire styles,ive had quite a few farmers (landowners) asking me if i can do it ,so im putting my daughter and brother through the course ,its another trade to fall back on when work goes a bit slack i hope this has helped you cheers andy...

  5. 6-8inch is a lot of logs for an ivor williams 12*6 level load we doing a job on a small holding next to a river about half mile clearing river bank the owner told me and my brother that we can use one of the barns free of charge to store our firewood which we accepted , so we are looking for a petrol log splitter ..andy
  6. how much are they ? we cut our rings 6-8inchs how quick at splitting a ton for instance ?
  7. any info on some of the small petrol wood splitters ,i dont know wether to get a tow along one or one that i can fix to a bench that i can attach to the back of my trailer ??? any info would be appreciated ..andy..
  8. what a day.. started the alder job today it p***ed down allday, the river wasnt far off bursting its banks the only thing we were missing were our armbands and rubber ducks,we had to dismantle 9 of them because of heavy lean and a brand spanking new fence under neath the alders tommorrow my brother and daughter are splitting,we got 6loads to go out by saturday..andy

  10. whats alder like for burning.. i got about half a mile of riverbank to clear, and being that everyone is asking me for logs i thought i would ask on the forum before i start promising people logs that may be potentiosly rubbish as firewood. cheers andy..

  13. dont give up yourself like most of us work hard for a better quallity of life,go for the cctv and get in touch with the police tell them whats happening,if you batter them you will end up paying or worst your family targeted,self defence should only come into perspective if they are inside your house then you can go to work on the bastards ..keep your chin up mate go to the athorities best of luck andy..
