  3. friday,what could go wrong went wrong..first of all greasing up chipper noticed one of the straps that hold the fuel tank on was snapped,so we done a magiver on it with some cable ties.then on sitestarted to take down a willow limb caught a bt line that came down , next was my weaver saw strop cut through that(10yrs i had that)then to top off the day hered a rattling coming from my chipper the anvil had worked loose so it was time to pack up and go home (i orderd the parts they wont be here till wednesday) anyone out there had a similar week????
  4. the trees are staying on the site just moving them too a diffrent location,hopfully that way the planning departments happy,the developers are happy and the locals...

  6. hi guys just picked up a large contract,theres around 400 trees that need work,but there are quite a few rather fantastic specimens on this property,problem is they want them removed which would be a shame so im on here to pick some of your brains..a wagon mounted tree spade ..what sort of weight can it lift to rehome ..and whos got one on this forum???? anyone with info could you please get in contact ..thanks andy...

  13. how many of you boys out there use the grabs instead of (prussiks ,blakes,etc) on your fliplines ,short strops etc what are the pros & cons ??? feedback would be good ...cheers andy..

  15. yes i use this system quite a lot especially on tall skinny conifers.another way is to place a secondary under the lowering block.. andy
  16. will it work joe blogs, (the public )would rather pay that little bit less for some bloddy gardener who advertises that he does tree work than a quallified arborist,i think theres too many cowboys out there for the corgi type system great for us professionals if it could happen.....
