  1. Does anyone know of any training provider who is running a course/assessment in December? im pencilled on to one in January in Suffolk but ideally need one sooner so that I can get on with a contract I’ve picked up. The customer won’t let me start until I’ve got a ticket. Ideally training would in Norfolk. Thanks David
  2. First swallows back here in Norfolk last Sunday. 3 days later than last year.
  3. Thanks for replys. I got some of the books ordered. Canoe head- What you said is good advice and the last thing I would want out of a course is a lot of site work h+s. All I want is to learn a bit more so that I can turn out half decent furniture and bits for myself and friends. David
  4. I am looking into the possibilty of doing an evening carpentry course to improve my woodworking skills. 10. RE; manual hubs, lock them up and forget about them. This dosnt affect anything apart from increases fuel consumption a fraction. Having to stop and lock hubs when your nearly stuck will guarentee you're stuck when you get back in!!
  11. Cant go wrong with the mark 3. Had two of them in the past. Only thing to let them down is the leaf springs are a bit soft so they wallow a bit esp after getting out of a landrover. And towing performance isnt great. Apart from that bullet proof. You should also consider mk 1 D22 Navara which I moved onto from the hiluxs. Good truck, as good a truck as hilux,if not better IMO
  12. Thanks to Steve and all the sponsers for organising and donating such a good selection of prizes. Looking foward to getting to getting my grubby hands on my new saw. Thanks, David

  16. I could have done with the heated handles for the last two weeks here in Spain. The temp hasnt got above 5c and there has been half a metre of snow and drifts up to 1.5 m. Ive got a smalll firewood buisness and havnt been able to get to the firewood heap as the tracks have been impassable.
  17. Im looking at getting 361 with the heated handles,it might be a daft question but ive never used a saw with them, can you turn the heat off. And how do they work? Are they taking heat from the exaust?
  18. Lifting the carpet in the yts lads mothers car which he drove to work and putting a well dead weasel underneath and putting the carpet back down. He dosnt find out what the stench is for weeks and the young ladies stop going out with him because his car stinks. Just make sure you are not around when the mother storms into the yard after stripping the car all weekend!! He left not many weeks later in a cloud of dust and tears!
  19. Problem before new carb was the petrol would come through in fits and starts. Ran well when running but would run itself dry very quickly. It didnt spit the fuel out of the carb like it is now. How do I know if the inlet needle lever is set to correct height?

    stihl 076

Dont think its an AV model. Not sure if factory shuts down for August or not but i know the Stihl HQ in Madrid does which is a pain in the !#*$ when I want to go out and play! Do they do a 20" .404 bar to fit the 076,She would really rip through then on some smaller walnut ive laid my hands on.
