  1. u have a nice set up mate iv only a chainsaw mill some elm i done in a back garden where i could not get the trunks out in one bit elm
  2. thats nice keep them coming see if i can dig some out pics out state what the wood is so if there is any new people to milling looking they no what woods are worth milling this was a teaching day for 4 arbtalkers that wanted to no what milling was about wood is walnut

  4. just looks like a jo-beau m400 i see them at the APF and if u sat the 2 side by side u would not find to many diffrences and if it works as well as r m400 it will be a good machine

  7. Yeh horse chestnut mate the one I was tell u about on Tuesday Pointless I think I called it I'm happy with the way it come out a bit surprised
  8. it was running well for most the day alec i was quit happy to see it working after selling it the other one out of the 2 done alot of cross cutting today so that one works now to so i have 3 milling saws that work
  9. whats up with the 076 mate and the 070 i had to wash my 076 carb out after tuesday milling got it home and would not start cleaned the carb and it run 3-1/2 hours today fine
  10. the butt was 5ft. shot though out of the whole tree them to bits where the only 2 worth milling the wood behaved just used 5 wedges 1 in the end where i started the cut and 4 down the lenght mate it cut easier than i thought it would its not my wood just got payed to mill it
  11. did u get a before pic mate i think that is one of the best big reductions iv seen in a while mate top job + we had a good :lol: about u and a bucket of water in a beech tree something to do with a fire where we milled the ash up

  13. last of the pics i would never thought of milled chestnut before but i might have to re think if the heart is a nice colour thought i would post more milling pic rob so u can see what the gear u keep selling me is bin doing

  15. got asked to mill chestnut about 3 weeks ago iv bin putting it off as i thought i would be wasting my time i got payed for it so why moan :lol: i was surprised but it first trunk
  16. APBELL that was a right pig mate every brick had to be cut and it a honda HRH536 QX but this year a ransomes Matador so should look even better
  17. from the last page job we started we hit it on the head today dad has to go back tomorrow and clean up while im milling again

  20. after doing the job with alec i though i would post some pic as we got the job through arbtalk so might as well share to the people that are intrested and to share pics with alec as it was a intresting day
