  1. Hello all

Don't know if any of you can help me but thought it's worth a go. My blackberry Bold has been working fine at home on the WI-Fi from my home hub since I've had it(about 3 months) but the other night it just stopped, everything else works just fine, the pc and laptop at home still go on the Wi-Fi network, which to me suggests it's the phone

    Anyone else had these issues???

    Cheers peeps

  2. Started this thread some time back........call me a trail blazer if you like, but now this series is on BBC2 I was wondering if anyone has fallen for its charms, gritty realistic drama at its very best.

    I'm on series 4 now and it's still A1

Gotta get in to it people!!!!!!!!!!

  3. So peeps

It's that time of year where I spend most of the day on the M25 in order to get to and from Cirencester for the Arb fair.

What's on everyone's shopping list this year??

The must have item of Summer 2009 is...........................????????????

I need the usuals, rope, new harness, maybe some ballistics few karabiners, etc etc.

  4. Evenin' all

Just seeing if any of you guys/gals have joined a local business club with views to increasing work??

If so what are your thoughts on them?

    Did they work?

    How did you find them??

I joined one about 6months or so ago..............in my opinion what a crock of s***.

Not much work from it at all, 6.30 starts on Friday morns, crap breakie and full of people seriously lacking a sense of perspective.

But hey ho it's just my opinion, if you want my advice, save the money, buy some extra flyers!!!!

  5. You know them then?!!!!

Rob asked me to give him a couple of days, said something about some pops, didn't mention anything about them being dodgy, I couldn't fit them in so did not go and see them.

Are they that bad???? What ya gonna do??? Will you climb them???

As you get older you do indeed get wiser, those things you never used to blink an eye at somehow seem much more important now!!!!!!! It's called self-preservation

  6. I was looking 2 years ago to spend approx 6k and all the timberwolf's that I found were mullered with loads of hours on the clock. Settled for a Kwikchip222 turntable, heavy as hell but a great chipper, simple, never lets me down. Built like a tank.

Try looking at Thorne Engineers site, a google search should find it. They do a great job of refurbs.

  7. This is just out of curiosity.

I've been using a Treemotion for about a year, and it's great, however I need a new harness now and just wondered which was the most popular and why you like them?

Thinking about picking up a new harness at the arb fair myself this year, but the choice is huge nowadays, gone are the days when you had the choice of 3 belts, Willans, Merrist wood harness and the good old GP parachutes harness.

I've allways used SKY Belts .....on my 4th now but I fancy something alittle diferrent myself, I too like the look of the Treemotion.

Can't you take it with you Mark and save a few squids?? Maybe buy the whole kit ropes, biners, etc etc off M.J.

  8. That's one of my concerns. I consider myself pretty competent, and haven't come across a situation I've felt uncomfortable dealing with for quite a long time.

However when I see the competition climbers etc, and compare myself to them, and wonder if they are the sort of climbers I'll be competing for work with.

I'd say I compare quite favourably with most of the climbers I've met through work, but it's a gamble I guess.

Mate I've seen you climb and I KNOW you'll have no problems at all once people have seen what you can do, like Steve says competition climbing is a totally different thing.

  9. Hello all.

It's the time of year when I like to start thinking about the family holiday. What with the euro being the way it is I feel a good old fashioned camping holiday in the uk sounds great.

Any ideas,we are seasoned campers, but now we're getting a little older like a few more facilities, decent shower rooms etc etc what with having children now. We also have a dog. Last year we went to St Ives and had a wicked time. Done the usual New forest and Cardigan bay, snowdonia, lakes etc etc. Any hidden gems out there that I've not heard about?????

    Thoughts greatfully recieved Ta.
