  1. Fairly certain that 112 enables the emergency services to identify the cell that a mobile call is made from,999 does not do this.So 112 is best practice. Most of this is basic c.s.30 stuff really methinks:001_huh:
  2. It's such a horrible, dirty, corrosive and harmful to health fuel that it's days are numbered anyway.
  3. Does anyone on here do split chesnut laths for use with lime plastering on my listed building project? Winter cut of course:thumbup: Doh, im in north Wiltshire by the way and standing wood would also be good
  4. Is it a problem with the Stihl 25" bar? We were talking about this on 441's recently:001_smile:
  5. the lid from a Zing It tub makes a better lifting point methinks:001_smile: not C.E. marked though,so not lolerable? that is assuming that a cuppa comes under P.P.E.
  6. i've poked my nose outside and it says nah. the Land Rover usually goes on sick leave when snow is due & it is in good form:biggrin: i could easily take tomorrow off to play in the snow,i find that Chippenham in Wiltshire is the most boring weather place i have ever lived in!
  7. My god daughter was born 10 weeks early at a birth weight of 1 lb 11 oz. She had very good care in the nicu unit at Bath Royal United Hospital. Just recently (at the age of six going on seven)she was overheard fundraising to buy a brick for the new unit. So to follow her example I am going to match my "Arbtalk" donation with one to the "buy a brick" campaign and in the unlikely event of winning a prize i will donate the value to the same good cause. Anybody else feel brave for their own local cause?
  8. Palfinger PK 60002 D on a 8x2 DAF chassis. Love it,the control system is sooo smooth.The downside is U.W. 21 tonnes.
  9. the last bottle i bought came from the deli at Newnham by the river severn:001_tt2:tasty
  10. I wondered if the dealer that I bought mine off used a non bio chain oil to P.D.I. it & it reacted with my bio oil.
  11. I had the same with my 441 25" bar combo on it's first outing ringing up. Hasn't happened since.
  12. On the seatbelt question. Glass acts as a U.V. filter, wonder if soft top cars have their belts checked more carefully. The modern M.O.T. system would highlight such things. On climbing kit, being able to identify man. date is crucial for re-call purposes it would seem.:001_smile:I suppose that loler do have a database:001_smile:
  13. rattling around in the cobwebs of my memory i once used a D.B. that had a T shaped metal tap like thingy on the injection pump that had to be screwed in or out for cold starting.
  14. Thanks for the info My Stein Plasma may become a cycling helmet in a couple of years time. The Austria Duo appears to have quite a long life for my intensity of use. I suppose it would make sense to have the L.O.L.E.R. done by the the same organisation as the CS 38 training. thanks again, tim
  15. I'd forgotten that,oh well:blushing:
  16. [quote=hamadryad;220742its as much about the clients "understanding" we dont stand a chance while this is the case clients understanding sounds all well and dandy,i would have to assume that you are not on gas as you would of course known that C.O.R.G.I was replaced by gas safe a while ago.
  17. poor old Simon Cowell,ho ho ho:thumbup:
  18. This is another timely thread. My climbing kit is used rarely (not too much time for fun) and so lives in light tight bags. How do L.O.L.E.R. inspectors view kit that would look new other than the manufacture date? In the same vein is the 3 year life on a climbing helmet a hard and fast rule? Mine spent it's first 10 months in its box before I met it! If i don't get a move on and do CS38 soonish, i could be in the odd position of using borrowed kit that is younger than mine but closer to retirement:blushing:
  19. I always thought that a Corgi was a dog, turns out all this time it was a way of making 'gas safe'
  20. hi Steve Got the e-mails from the Childrens trust and their payment agents on the 6/12/09. don't know how long they take,or how snowed under you are!
