  2. ditto,start of winter here just now mountains just coverd in snow,they should be open in a month or 2,although its been pissing it down lately,then at the end of the ski season you can go skiing then the beach in the afternoon

  14. Cutting trees near Toba Inlet in BC. Some falling, lots of climbing to make short spars that will be pulled out by machine and used to create spawning habitat channels for salmon. About 125 trees were pieced apart down to 6-8 meters, mostly Sitka Spruce and Pacific Silver Fir (Abies amabilis) with a few Western Hemlock, Douglas-fir and Western Redcedar as well. Trees ranged between 100' to 190'. Also some blasting where the hydro project penstock is being placed.

    Good stuff drew,We use access lines on large removals,and a harness at the ready (obviously)

    Interesting,didnt think we got DED in this country,we treat it as anyother tree/wood/chip and there is some nice big elms down here.
