    My SJ has started to slip and after fast descents it slips more than just hanging not moving, Not sure why,put a new cam in 2 weeks ago with brand new rope. Have adjusted the wooden brake ever so slightly. Has this happend to anyone else using one?? Thanks
  4. Velocity. not recommend to use the lever on its own.(wears out the cam to quickly and is jerky to say the least.

  8. The head arborist is bit of a @#$%.oh you you get used to the ground movement.
  9. I dont think it will change tbh,which is as shame because there are nice nice trees about that aren't protected.In chch any way.
  10. Have done a few nice acer's to and came back to re do them the next year and most of them have been sun burnt on the tops do to little or no foliage.FWIW i work for a professional company and what the client want the client gets most of the time.
  11. Reductions by 1/3 is generally what i have to do,and people are happy with that,then few months later its full of epi's and new growth and looks crap. still get jim butchering away too.

    Yeah same here,Would nice to be able to do it but everyone just wants there trees to look good and to have lots of sun light.

  16. Well i hate the velcro pads.Leather straps do me fine.
  17. Have you got a small sling?That makes change over so much easier as all you need to do is open 'biner and take rope out.
  18. Cool that you have the option to use both,I have done a few trees recenlty and thought this would be so much easier with a RW.Keep practicing on both a find what works best for you.
