  1. You only need the switch in the positive. The negative side can just go to an earth, probably the bolt that holds the light on. so you have battery positive-fuse-switch-light-earth
  2. Hi I've got a mower with a b&s motor on it, can't get it to start. It's been stood for 18 months. Thing is I think the only cold start on it is a primer, there is a little choke like leaver but I'm not sure it does or ever has done anything. Anyone any tips on getting it going? There is a spark, the only thing I can think if is the petrol has gone off? Are smaller engine more susceptible to this? I've left petrol in vehicles for longer than this and had no problems?
  3. A friends after a survey doing on there house prior to planning permissions. Thought I'd ask on here there in monton. Pm if you do cheers mike
  4. Yep you need a relay and a fuse 10 amp should do for 110 watts. I'd wire the relay to the battery as you don't know what other lives are rated for.
  5. Do you mean fans on the flywheel? There not replaceable on the 190 just the 150.
  6. I might sell this and donate to charity is it worth anything though or will I get more scrap?
  7. Best landy quote my last renewal was more than, about 500 for business use for a v8 90. They weren't bothered about the winch either which was nice
  8. Thanks guys, it's not really a problem getting the kit back as such. If I was really needing it I'd of tied the landy to the door and pulled it off! I'm more annoyed about my locks and having no notice. I'm having a look at another garage tomos so fingers crossed on that or I'm screwed!
  9. Cheers guys. They've said I can get access on Monday between 9-5.30, and presumably the rest of the week the same times. No good to me as I'll be working those times.! Ill be billing them for the locks if I don't get them back and a days loss of earnings. Also what if anythings missing? It's unlikely but what if? Cheers again.
  10. Not sure how they got the locks off. I didn't get out the car close enough to look. Not sure about the small claims thing, there's something I'm not telling the full story about if it went that far, but don't wanna say on a public forum. Anyone know if they've committed an offence cutting the locks? And would I be if I cut there's? Which with our law system sounds more likely!
  11. I rent a garage off a property firm for storage. Asda and the property firm have put planning proposals through to build a new store which involves demolishing the garages. I had a letter in around november time saying we'd be given notice if we were getting evicted. I've had nothing through since. So I go down today and there's a notice on the door saying possession of it has been took back, and they've took my locks off so I can't get in. Rang the number on the letter and spoke to security who said the letter had bean put on the door 2/3 weeks ago and to ring again Monday and I'd be let in. I pay a month in advance for the garage and I last payed on the 3rd of this month. So question is where do I stand. I've not been able to get to my stuff today to work tomorrow so I've lost out there plus the locks, which may or may not be still useable, I don't even know where they are yet. Any advice much appreciated. Cheers mike
  12.  I may have been known to do that yes haha
  13. Hi just wondering if this apple tree can be saved anyway? The canker has spread most places and is on the main stem
  14. Yeah I've recently started power line work and got told if a line comes down to hop away from the area, something to do with phases or something.
  15. When loaded there not too different than any other it's mainly the no load speed. To buy new there dearer than a normal Superwinch but a lot cheaper than an 8274. I wouldn't bother with pto or hydraulic especially fir the l200 as id doubt you'd be able to get a pto to fit, which would mean a hydraulic run one of the ps pump if possible, nit sure if that's doable on an l200. If the your other vehicle is 24volt you could fit it to that, one of my huskys is 24 volt and it goes on for ages. Also spares are easy to get too as there's been little change fir 20 years or so. You could get a used husky for 200 on eBay, 50 quid for an albrite 150 for a motor if needed for the same price as a new cheap Superwinch. Beware though if you go husky the mounting pattern is unique to that winch
  16. Get an Albright and you won't have to touch them again. I'd highly recommend a husky there not like the 8274 as far as popularity but there a pro winch and have no brake to maintain, there not the fastest. I've got two and never had a problem
  17. Ace that's the kind of work I'd like to get into 
  18. Fair enough, I was toying with the idea of buying something like a greenmech so it'll get anywhere and hiring me and it out but if it's not gonna work I'll not bother 
  19. Is the mog anchored? Is a cool vid, what's happening to it now?
  20. Just wondering how many of you get any work from hiring out your chipper and operator? See lots of ads on ebay for it
