A question to all vt users,yes we all know how sexy it is and how much quicker and easier it has made our tree climbing lives but how cocky have we got or how different is our techniques so question is.how far are you free climbing stroke advancing stroke ascending to get about the tree before you pull the slack thru,i started at 1m and now can find myself maybe 2 stroke 3 not cocky just very confident

stihl 361 best mid range saw in my books,gd weight plenty of power and cuts well when used properly,not sure about discounts but someone on here will,mr jones has very reasonable prices for his saws.gd luck and enjoy the best job in the world.

cool photos wayne.that size pine is so common in nz in most gardens around auckland,quite scary.

saw a physio last nt but no joy,gonna go again 2moro.not keen on takin drugs but tried co codamol and no affect,just gonna ride the wave me thinks and hopefully not lose too much money along the way and piss too many clients off

woke up tues morn wit crook neck after a strange sleep and spent most of mon looking up at 2 trainee climbers. now im stuck to the sofa as the left side of my back has completly locked up. diary has started gettin nice and full just before xmas and this happens. not a happy bunny:mad1:

yeah cooper beech,not too sure about pre checks,apparently had a huge limb failure in the summer so owner didnt want to take any risks,fair enough.

not that tall surprisingly about 40ft but apparently had a huge spread.as i said real shame but nice climbing.she had a gd innings

finished this off today as original climber could'nt get back to it.real shame but she had to go riddled with ganoderma and very close to a busy road.would of been nice to do with a crane,oh well dream on.left the but standing at 10ft or so.hopefully bill will upload pics of tree before he started.
