  1. Sorry mate, I've been on the rose again
  2. Yuck!!!!! I would not want any of that!!!
  3. Not surprised. Being in breach of the law does NOT remove your rights. If some one breaks into your house and is injured, they can sue you, even though they are committing a criminal act by being in you home.
  4. In all seriousness, I think it will be very much down to the individual, the right guy with a bit of backing would be great, IMHO.
  5. Good analogy!! But she won't break his heart and will be very grateful!!
  6. It a very nicely polished turd!! Which ain't easy!!
  7. Not sure I would mention it.
  8. NO!!! I was mad as hell and told them to fight it. It took 18 months. In the end it was decided it was 60% my fault 40% his. He was in a pot for over 4 months and got 10K There were 8K costs.
  9. Not at first. He had only worked for me occasionally, it was 4 months after the accident that the claim came through.
  10. He climbed over a fence. He was not asked to climb over the fence. The fence was only 4foot high, instead of throwing his leg over, he stood on top of the fence, caught his trouser bottom, fell forward and broke his leg. My fault apparently, for not providing adequate fence climbing training, WTF. Its all a big game, be sensible, pay your premiums and don't worry.
  11. That has also been my experience They normally come over to me when I'm on with a job and start questioning me about what I'm up to and seem the think I should have contacted them before I even thought about getting my saw out on THEIR patch!!
  12. err........if you choose a branch that won't break to stand on and are secured from above by your life line, then "these things" CAN be helped.
  13. Thats high level felling, with the appropriate cut, NOT trying to smoke off a big lateral before it explodes
  14. From what I've seen on here, they are worse than saws.
  15. Do we have any evidence that rushing is the cause of most accidents??
  16. Is it like a traffic warden, but for trees?? .
  17. I just go out on the end and take the weight off.
  18. I hear what you saying, BUT by definition once you "get used" to a 110 it WILL go places a 130 won't "getting used" to a 130 will NOT make it as short as a 110.
  19. The sorter the wheelbase the better off road performance.
