    sharpening

They are extremely brittle and can be snapped with ease.
  10. Because you can charge more:sneaky2: But the best days are when you've priced for nibbling, but knock it over instead
  11. I have very little patience, which is why I would sooner take a new file and sort even the most badly damage chain in 5 minuets, I really could not be bothered fannying about changing chains.
  12. I think that will be down to the H&S policy of the firm you are subbing too, not the HSE.
  13. Your getting confused Pete. The climber or the groundie may also be the site manager/foreman and any number of other important job, but they don't have to be. And most aren't What your describing is normally the boss or team leader, they are often also a climber or groundie.
  14. In the woods??? or Mrs Miggins garden?????????

  16. Rubbish. So he can have the tree dismantled by lunch????????????????????? What you get paid is all about the revenue you are able to generate, the climber is able to do things the climber can't and generally generates far more revenue, some may not like this, but its true.
  17. No, all you need is this and a bit of practice
  18. No you NEED some one with a bit of paper that says they can
  19. I think one of the main reasons there are not many lady's in arb is the fact that their husbands and boyfriends won't want them working round all us hunky tree men
  20. If a groundie can climb well he's a climber, not a groundie.
  21. There are loads of guys who come into arb only a few become very good. There are far fewer girls coming into arb so the chances of there being many very good ones is less, but I'm sure they are out there.
  22. No they aren't, chipper ticket is not even a HSE best practice recommendation.
