  1. agreed but still the clutch you have put in is for 11mm so when it gets worn it will be ok but tbh blaze would be better imo as it is 11mm that is the beauty of the spiderjack same clutch 11-13mm
  2. i pay groundies exactly the same as climbers so now you have heard of someone that pays groundies more than £100 per day i paid a lad on this site £170 per day and all he did was admire my climbing skills :001_tt1:and helped my groundsman/climber reduce a hedge and drag and chip up Do you not need a groundsman that can climb as well in case of an accident or your not feeling too cracky that day It is about time climbers realized the only time they are above groundies is when they are up a tree
  3. your problem is that tachyon is 11.5 rather than blaze at 11.1mm try using your other clutch also blaze is a bit firmer
  4. i agree with you there sir tackyon is 11.5mm blaze is 11.1 to be exact without splitting hairs
  5. i will get original when mine gets too worn have you seen the typical setup for a tm at honeys looked a bit ott to moi
  6. i bet they are good at jenga
  7. do you really think you can teach someone to use a chainsaw in a tree safely then thin a tree and teach them to dissmantle trees using lowering ropes all on one course and the assessment would be a massive assessment with folk standing less chance of passing when i mistake could mean it was all over folk keep going on about falling standards but this would not be my way of raising standards
  8. none of the practical really overlaps although some general questions do such as risk assessment but the main of what the assessments are about are different
  9. gutted i really wanted a marlow split tail
  10. when our timberwolf was nicked it was taken in for repairs and when they tried to order new parts orange plant contacted us so we informed the police who said they would deal with it 1 week later after much chasing they got round to visiting the repair garage and guess what the damn thing had gone never to be seen again so next time i will be taking deano with his sas training and guns blazing

  16. always an awkward one to answer as different ropes are constructed differently and different build ups and strengths and the age and general wear on the rest of the rope as wear affects strength sorry if this sounds like a cop out narrowing is always my first worry
  17. from what i can see of that photo it would pass a loler imo is there any rope narrowing
