  1. Here here! (we've got an Iveco)
  2. I'm moving to Mortimer Forest!
  3. I just thought you meant you manually handled timber at some stage of your production process, but in fact you don't - so sorry I assumed you did.
  4. JAS P have a 3 phase used one in 2007 19,995.00 + vat
  5. Agreed, few of us have front linkage tractors for the Processor, a roof crane plus a 15 tonne trailer and not many customers want 15 tonnes green wood dumped on their drive.
  6. Agreed, Lascos certainly do the job but try processing what they produce and the resulting logs don't look great. A bit like 1/4ring up large rings then putting them through the processor with a 6 way knife fitted - not a pretty sight! Roundwood processing at size - that's the future.
  7. Rabaud make some insane kit - there will be a range of their processing equip. at the APF if anyone is interested. We were until we saw some price tags!
  8. Stroke of luck getting the saw though.
  9. At what stage of production do you handle the timber manually?
  10. 16" bar in a Holm Oak - not for long sevice life! 14" perfect match - not a miss-match.
  11. There are some huge firewood producers throughout Europe who use these machines without issues. Pinosa call them 'machining centre for firewood' but everyone else calls them firewood processors , probably because that is what they do well. Just for interest what did CW replace their Pinosa with? Thanks
  12. Not Manuka, Post some close ups of the bark and foliage.
  13. I'd stick with Stihl bars - get what you pay for. We had a 16" bar, didn't replace it with a 16 when it expired - so there may be a message there.
  14. Sounds like you are selling it too cheaply - don't undersell the product as firewood production is a poor business model even if you sell the product at the right price. You timber cost price will rise, so raise your prices before it does.
  15. With a log deck - It has no rivals.... except Pinosa EPC 400 - Not a machine for the meek and financing it is not so straightforward. This is the brand the big boys use!
  16. We've got a 150C and a TC and they both took about 20 tanks of fuel before they bedded in and were free reving. Spot on for up to 4" diameter, after that just too slow for commercial productivity.
  17. That's serious quantities - 14 x 8 wheelers. How do you dry it?
  18. Raising your prices may well be a shrewd business decision and have no detremental effect on sales.
  19. Stop wasting everyone's time Petzl, hold your hands up, admit you underestimated the working loads that this friction device is exposed to. This is a simple problem with a simple answer: Produce a MK3 with side plates 2x the thickness, recall all MK 1 & 2 and replace FOC with the MK 3. Everyone will be very happy, confidence will be restored in the Brand and the whole issue will soon be forgotton. Expensive exercise - but knowhere near what loss of confidence in the Petzl Brand will cost in the long run if you don't act swiftly. Once a customer loses faith in a product - you lose the customer, especially if their life depends on the product. Lyon Equipment - ARE YOU LISTENING?
  20. Ok, so we will agree a day is 8 working hours, so 0.833m3 / hr. Thanks
  21. Firewood vendors are extremely honest characters.
  22. There has been lots of posts on the Forum claiming you can get a good return on processing Arb. waste. Would anyone care to comment on how long it would take them to process the average heap of Arb. Waste into 10M3 of split logs and naming the particular make of splitter that they have? By Arb. Waste I mean the usual 4' diameter rings down to the smaller 6" rings and all the ugly rings where branch unions once were.
  23. I'm going to post a Thread on - The cost to process Arb. Waste!
  24. That's a thought.
