  1. Most of the big boys down to ring me when anything comes up - nothing for weeks, unless you want Spruce ! Never had dealings with KK, only ever looked at their Website and they looked small time - can you give me some info on them?
  2. They'll all have had a skin full by now ! - move your post up the list tomorrow and you should get some replies. Looking at the list prices of different brands will tell you a lot. Tajfun 420 has a size advantage over a Posch, but that's about it. I am about to change for a new machine - Posch all the way. There are lots of previous posts on the Forum if you search. Good luck
  3. Plantation Hardwood and Larch / Douglas. Cut to any length , Processor size max 300mm / 12". 8 wheelers.
  4. I was hoping someone on the Forum could recommend. Shavey got back to me - waiting to see what he has. Hope thing are progressing for you :thumbup1
  5. I got 1 reply - perhaps it's the time of year all Hauliers head off on their Hols
  6. They look the business !
  7. Is that 18 cages fit in a 20ft x 8ft x 8ft container ? Have you got the exact cage dimensions to calculate their internal capacity ?
  8. Thanks R5 - I just posted after TCD so any contacts added will be most welcome - Thanks
  9. Jonny Martyn Chris Evans Full contact names and mobiles for the rest would be BLISS !!!
  10. Thanks for the info. yes those drags are great units. The access here is perfect for standard 8 wheeler delivering - it is just finding reliable Hauliers and roundwood suppliers! I am sure there are some in the South West - DO YOU OR ANYONE KNOW ANY ???
  11. How long does it take you to do an 8 wheeler load (17.5 T) of decent hardwood; in say 2 shifts ?
  12. Totally agree - looking at reducing or better still removing maintanance wherever possible.
  13. I wish I was. All I get is promises. I am optimistic things may improve as i've got a few new posts started that may bear fruit - I live in hope.
  14. If you are a Cutter or Harvesting Contractor working in the South West I would be pleased to hear from you with a view to purchasing processor sized roundwood if you sell this spec. timber. Similarly if anyone can recommend reliable individuals as above who may be able to oblige, please post or PM me. Any replies appreciated.
  15. Access down this way is limited, Artic restrictions on several roads, however I am working on improving access to an area I have in the future.
  16. I have been trying to get some roadside timber hauled 30 miles for 10 days now without success - so it's time to take a different approach. If you are a reliable Timber Haulier with an 8 wheeler and cover Devon, Cornwall, South West Somerset / Dorset - please post. Likewise if anyone knows a reliable Haulier please post their details or PM me. It will be a huge relief to be able to make a phone call and arrange a collection or delivery of timber loads. ( or maybe this is not a reality?). Any replies much appreciated.
  17. I can see what you mean! If you ever move down this way be prepared; hauliers I have encountered are the most elusive people I have ever tried to contact.
  18. The current machine is a Posch, so just replacement with new. Perfect machine with the right timber.
  19. I'll need luck or something similar to actually witness actual processor size turning up. The last 2 loads took 25% of time to process the good stuff and 75% of time working on the rest! This is not going to be easy with hardwoods.
  20. Other processors will handle larger diameters as you know, so what persuaded you to buy the Posch?
  21. They lift off perfectly.
  22. I am amazed that knowone has roadside Softwood down in Devon or Cornwall - even the big boys don't appear to be able to oblige If anyone knows different please post. The Haulage kills it from further afield, apart from perhaps South West Somerset / Dorset.
  23. These days it appears that many like to see you roll up with nice shiny gear - another reason for changing the machine ?
  24. That's impressive! The 3200 is a nice machine. A 360 is not that larger capacity of course. In future I only plan to buy only from those who supply the exact timber I want ; You look after me and I'll look after you scenario!
