  1. Just got back from a trip to Alicante and the Missus got me to take her to a couple of Trip Advisor rated steak houses. Wow, they were well worthy of their rating too. Not at all cheap but still worthy of the experience and memories created! Templo was the first and I'd echo the comments on TA. Picaro 1999 was the second, also well worth the expense for the food and experience! Both 45 daynand with a great Tempranillo. Where have you been for a steak that was worthy and memorable?
  2. I have checked my Google timeline before now to think, I ain't been anywhere near there!!! As said turn phone right off, leave for two minutes then start up!
  3. Never had that bother but heard it is as debilitating as squirts!
  4. Eye of a needle from ten paces?
  5. Am I first up and ready? Been up for 30 mins too!
  6. We are up! A little jaded after some boozing and a top steak and more boozing in Alicante!
  7. Got to admit, when I brought albums because of a single, I was usually disappointed! I've handful of albums that I don't fast forward...... I agree with a previous post about some right historic tunes that I like but just get the rest!
  8. I never got that New Wave Romantics stuff, just like I can only do a few heavy metal stuff anthems! I listened to some Free and Bad Company and thought that they were uncomplicated but easy on the ear too!
  9. Duran Duran and most stuff of that era. Chas n Dave
  10. Up and away to Louth to see someone. I lived near there some 50 years back, will be odd to see how many new houses have gone up etc. Wonder if the Chestnut I planted is still by the house! They dug up the airfield of the base that Dad flew in to..... Thank god it is Friday! Off to Alicante tonight to celebrate being 30 again for the second time 😏
  11. Perhaps this thread needs a part b, returned from home safe and well too!
  12. Up and shortly off for a 3 hour trek north to Newcastle. One chipper to deliver, sold to a chap without a demonstration and then to visit a guy who brought a tracked machine and wants a toolbox tour!

    Mince pies

Don't really do Mince pies, Christmas cake or Christmas Pudding myself. Can remember being extremely disappointed as a kid to get offered a mince pie and taking a bite to discover that their was no minced meat involved.... Mother makes hundreds of the things and they go to village or church events and are well received.
  14. Awake since 5! Done half of the Telegraph crossword and had two mugs of tea already! Off to Boston to meet a man who wants to see a chipper!
  15. I see that Heather Mills' vegan food business is going down the tubes and she blames meat eaters for this. Nothing to do with nobody buying her products in the volume she needed for it to survive. Shame for the factory folk etc, but I must ask, if it ain't selling then why make it and blame someone who has no inclination to eat nowt but plants?
  16. I'm in!
  17. Started to watch Hatfield and McCoy on prime. Based on true story about two feuding families in America post Civil War. Pretty gruesome times. The families called a truce in 2003 although they still reckon to have not forgotten......
  18. To be honest, I think that everyone of working age should pay for their potions and it would free up some dosh for extra services!
  19. I would have said that mulching lawns need to be 40mm at the least. Okay for outlying areas and so one but it dont do the grass good to be right short anyhow - unless you do all the rest of the stuff like remove thatch etc!
  20. I just got back from the pharmacy - I got to take some stuff to help with a busted lung. I got the txt to say they were ready and went up there to collect. Name/address usual thing and she plonked the box on the counter and walked away as I whipped out the phone to pay for them. "You were 60 the other day so everything is free from now onwards" was all she said over her shoulder! I knew I had got to 60 but I never realised that proscriptions were free! I thought that happened at Government retirement age!!!
  21. Morning! I'm in, but jaded after a bottle of Merlot. Minus 3 here too!
  22. I right enjoyed those too. Wept when the blonde croaked!
  23. I watched Cunk for the first time when I was quite drunk and seriously didn't know which way to take it, then got what she was doing and decided that she and the script writers are bloody clever! Not on TV but a good listen is the Radio 4 series called, 'Sorry, I haven't a clue'. Seriously good wordplay and often quite smutty too!
  24. Spanners undo the grease nipples on most things.

    D-Max

I hear that there is an approved chip/tune on the DMax, anyone had it done? Is it warranty approved? Is it any good and how much was it?
