  1. You could visit our stand at the APF - S6. Cheers - bruce@sevsafe
  2. if you've got a pair that you think haven't lasted as long as they should you could send them to us for an opinion! at the very least we could do a good deal on another pair or something else. there's supposed to be a new Steitz Goretex boot coming soon but they have been saying that for a while. i was hoping to have some for the APF ....?????
  3. I don't know which dealer you spoke to but we are the importers of these boots and we certainly don't get the 'general feedback' you describe!
  4. we've sold a lot of the Alex glove http://www.sevsafe.co.uk/acatalog/Arborist_Climbing_Aids.html not exactly the same but do seem popular for climbers of all sorts
  5. Plug - we have got Summer Special Prices on Bee and Treehopper http://www.sevsafe.co.uk/acatalog/Heightec_Arborists__Harnesses_and_accessories.html also Treemme Boots, Arblite clothing etc
  6. Congratulations! Good work Steve.
  7. You might like to have a look at our website e.g. http://www.sevsafe.co.uk/acatalog/Bolle_Special_Application_Safety_Spectacles.html or http://www.sevsafe.co.uk/acatalog/Bolle_Safety_Spectacles.html
  8. Just have to add my support for this post!

You could have a look at this section of our website http://www.sevsafe.co.uk/acatalog/Respiratory_Protective__Equipment.html
  10. I've run out of Petzl helmets at the moment so can't check the small print. This is what it says in the Rock blurb attached to the helmet (after all the normal stuff about throwing it away after serious impact and keep it away from solvents, paints etc.) 'The properties of the helmet do not alter during approximately 3 years if the above mentioned instructions are followed. After this period it is highly recommended to replace the helmet'
  11. same for the Rock range. to be a bit picky i think guaranteed is a bit strong
  12. Thanks! we're only in Cheltenham - not far from Brizzle! unless you're on the other side
  13. here's a suggestion for a combination http://www.sevsafe.co.uk/acatalog/Chainsaw_Safety_Helmets.html
  14. True for the Puma. I'm looking at getting the Combi with muffs/visor. This is still light just not quite as light as the Puma. You can always wear specs and ear plugs?
  15. it's not exactly what you've been talking about so far but we did have a lot of interest at the AA Trade Fair in our First Grade range http://www.sevsafe.co.uk/acatalog/TRANEMO_FIRST_GRADE_MODERN_WORKWEAR.html
  16. you might like to consider our latest addition http://www.sevsafe.co.uk/acatalog/Climbing_Safety_Helmets.html the Puma in particular is very light - only just over half the weight of the Vertex
  17. Only just seen this! I realise that they are not the same things but the risks are similar - I suspect the HSE might see them as the same? I agree that there are not specific guidelines for strimmers as opposed to clearing saws and most of what's been said on this thread makes good (common) sense - it's just the jobsworth possibility....! incidentally you might try this http://www.sevsafe.co.uk/acatalog/Brushcutter_Safety.html particularly the Bolle goggles with visor attachment
  18. sorry no links yet. have just received first sample pair today!
  19. forgot to quote message in first reply! made by our 'arblite' people. have got sample of design A but C would be possible if enough interest.
  20. our 'arblite' people - so light!
  21. also with a bit of luck should have a sample pair of camo chainsaw trousers
  22. John Steinbeck is one of my favourites particularly Log from the Sea of Cortez. Took me a while to recover from doing The Pearl at school!
