  1. Yea, but that's no fun at tall!
  2. Heck, almost immediately! (Gotta keep this a picture thread)
  3. Two packs of Marlboro 100's and a can of Copenhagen a day.
  4. The Village People had a climber? Get your fact's straight before you go dogging someone, mate. And I've been tobacco free for about 5 years now.
  5. Because at one point I had a drop zone, and at another point I didn't. There were three trees, altogether.
  6. What? Me one hand a saw? It's all a photoshop trick.
  7. I just ain't into topping, fracture pruning and coronet cuts. Other than that, I love everything about ya'll wacky Brits!
  8. Not my style. I'm just a naturally nice guy who trys not to be rude to people.
  9. You sure are a touchy 'lil fellow.
  10. What is it with all the putdowns on Americans? I play along and all but after awhile it gets tiresome. Is that just normal behavior for you? I think it's kinda rude, myself. I don't think I've typed one bad thing about Brits. Are you just naturally unmannered?
  11. It's true. Most of us average around 700 - 750 lbs.
  12. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqVQgP0eDvE]Behold![/ame]
  13. That would make me barf. Try whiskey n water next time, and not so much.
  14. The bucket is self leveling and a single man bucket is usually rated for 350 lbs.
  15. It's always good to do a search first before starting a thread.
  16. If the client is a moron and wants me to top their tree, I'll do it but I'll never say that the tree is better for me having done it - in fact I'll tell them that they are actually damaging the tree severely.
  17. So where are the pics? Do we use our imagination?
  18. I'm no angel, I'm a contract climber. I show up and do what the tree company owner wants me to do. I've topped many a tree in the exact same manner, I just never approved of it and would never post any pics of me doing that much less say that it was "good" for the tree. And if I could talk the client (which I sometimes get the chance to do) I try to get them to let me do something different.
  19. "Weather" is a meteorological event. Lurn yur wurdz, old chap and then maybe I'll take your advice on arborculture.
  20. And where have you drawn this assumption, Large dog? The same place you've drawn the assumption that the tree was gonna "fall apart?" I don't wear hooks when I trim. Do YOU?
  21. Crikey mate, do you really need all those words to make your point? The tree did NOT NEED to be "saved."
  22. Yo, I'm with you there, brudder! However, "properly pruned" does NOT include topping - ever.
  23. A tree with NO targets does NOT need to be topped. Period.
  24. Yes sir, my good man!

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.

If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
