  1. get some good solid windows made up from seasoned oak, that will help to stop the structure twisting to much because as its a summer house it will be lacking the weight you would have if it were a garage etc, infill betwwen the oak with studwork with good solid diagonal bracing.id normally go with seasoned softwood for this, but it depends if its going to be seen,another option is to clad the outside of the studwork with ply then tyvek over it and clad with oak, i could go on and on

  9. ive got the type a gladiators and they seem ok, only got them on saturday, little dubious of the light weight material on the backs of the legs as it seems to similar to the stuff stihl use
  10. i wouldnt want to decend to much distance with a hitch on a single line, best to use a fig 8
  11. set your clibing system tight round the stem, install your fig 8 below your hitch and pully and descend on a single line
  12. i either use my rope guide as a false crotch to decend on in an emergency or choke my climbing line round the stem and instal a fig8 below it

  16. it was a pretty small garden and the euc had grown up through the middle of the cherry plums, it would have been easy without the prunus but they made it a little more awkward as it was harder to crane/swing the stuff over the next garden round

  22. ive been asked to install some lights throught out the crowns of 2 large oak trees for a party, if im honest i dont have a clue where to start. im after ideas on installation, types of lights the whole lot really. so anyone done this before or have any ideas
