  1. Nice work, wait a minute! snow! down south! Cor blimey.
  2. Lets face it, we should not be there, Afghanistan or Iraq.
  3. Have to agree with the cloud big up, although I didn't know that they, (The clouds) were called that, nice stripy cloud formation, I call it.
  4. You need one of these, then you can check the wear, innit.
  5. It would have been great if you had a pair of attack dogs Oliver. Zeus, Apollo, seize them!!
  6. I hate the way my white Vertex tends to sit atop my head, not cool.
  7. I wonder who ran over that lid? Chuckle.
  8. Old people, it seems, have some kind of phobia towards trees. My father, who is getting on in age, has, in the last few years, taken to hacking off lumps off his nice apple trees. He had managed to leave them unmolested for around 35 years.
  9. We just used to open the tray. You won't break it. Well, maybe.
  10. Yeah I know, I got mine from...http://www.jimmygreen.co.uk/

Very, very nice work and smooth camera work Angus.
  12. I don't use a soft link, tried it but found it to have a little too much play for my liking, I use one of these. Twisted clevis. Of course, nobody else should ever, ever use one.
  13. I have used one, it's a monster on conifer bashing jobs, will fill a 7.5 truck in around twenty minutes, my old boss changes the bolts every time the blades are changed on his machine I don't know if that's what you are supposed to do?
  14. I flipped a six inch Vermeer that was on the back of a cargo once but haven't we all flipped one of those? My old firm lost their Bandit off the back of the truck when it sheered the whole tow hitch off, expensive little repair that one.
  15. I beg to differ.
  16. I like Timberwolfs, there, I feel better.
  17. I just bought a pair of Eltens again, yeah you my scoff, nay, even laugh but I like to wear them till they fall apart, Aquafells these ones, bit chunky than the standard boots but soft soles, this I like.
  18. More splicing stuff from the man like Nick. http://www.gypoclimber.com/showthread.php?p=208825#post208825
  19. Thread from the Treehouse, hope you don't mind Butch, Frans Wiley? More choices... http://www.gypoclimber.com/showthread.php?p=206434#post206434
  20. Yesterday, Saturday, I was down my local football club watching my eldest lad taking part in his football training. On one side of the pitch are several former pollarded Willows that have been left to grow to a, in my judgment, a fairly dangerous height. So there I was watching my sons football skills when I spied a guy with no PPE wielding a Makita saw cutting the tree from the football clubhouse roof. Naturally I was expecting a easy "You've Been Framed" 250 quid, so I went over to do a little cell phone video recording. I finished recording when I got a ugly stare from the saw operator, I quickly returned to my sons football match with a casual air of innocence, five minutes later I was approached by the football club chairmen who asked me why I was filming his guy in the tree, I replied that I was waiting for a accident to happen and was horrified at the risks the cutter was taking. He then asked me if I could help them out and that they, (The Football Club) have set aside a budget to have the trees cut back professionally. Sometimes, it pays to be a nosy bastard.
  21. I have not had one HSE site visit, ever, well maybe once, but that was in Northern Ireland so that will probably not count? My friend has had a site visit but didn't even get a request for his LOLER records.
  22. Groovy tune. [ame]http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=v_GbUWnx7Lk[/ame]
