  1. I have that model I believe. One battery would do the lawn assuming he keeps on top of it. I’m a bit lazy and often let the grass get a bit too long which can suck the power out of the battery a bit more. the batteries are the same as the ones used in the chainsaws. Not sure the exact weight but I can’t imagine it would be too much of an effort for him. Maybe around 1kg tops

You can’t collect from any of the sites, they are for tree surgeons to tip at only. If you want wood chips you need to add your address as a tip site on the directory

  6. The Arboricultural Association is hosting an online ARB Show, to make up for the cancellation of the 2020 event which was due to take place at Westonbirt, The National Arboretum. As the Association had to cancel the 22nd edition of its flagship trade show due to the Coronavirus pandemic, they wanted to show their support and thanks to exhibitors and visitors that have helped grow the event over the years, by giving everyone who loves the ARB Show the chance to enjoy an interactive ‘virtual’ version of the event to fill the void. Bringing the UK’s biggest Arborists’ Trade Show straight to you! ‘Virtual ARB Show 2020’ will feature an interactive showground filled with top industry exhibitors offering deals and showcasing the latest equipment and technologies. You’ll be able to browse just as you would at the ARB Show; exhibitors have filled a huge range of categorised virtual stands. The Exhibitor list features experts in a huge range of products and services, displaying the latest equipment available in every market from decay detection technology, soil decompaction and enrichment to new climbing kit and almost every type of chipper and shredder you could imagine. Other interactive show favourites will still take place and form part of the virtual showground. Including the ‘Arborists’ Workshop, sponsored by STIHL’ which will feature a range of must-see webinars and some excellent online learning. There will also be a demonstration area with exhibitors hosting product demo’s, tips and tricks, Tree Climbers Forum and Kids Activities. Visit the Virtual ARB Show from 15th May 2020 at www.trees.org.uk/VirtualArb
  7. Our local garage has a decent sized coop attached to it. They were only allowing 2 people in at a time. Yesterday I went in and there were no restrictions. It was packed
  8. What this about?
  9. Should have taken the 50, chucked the whole lot in a high interest account for a year then paid it off in full before they started charging you interest on the loan wait....no such thing as a high interest account at the moment!
  10. Is this because they’re brighter or their rich parents are better connected?

  12. Stick your address up on the directory https://arbtalk.co.uk/recycling
  13. I'd say no, and that your energy would be best spent elsewhere. Its a short lived species as has already been mentioned, and no particular specimen at that.
  14. Can’t see what all the fuss is about personally, just need a bit of discipline IMG_2216.MOV
  15. That won’t be much good if he wants rotted chips
  16. thats a pretty good deal
  17. I don’t think they lied. It says a bank may consider paying into a personal account, not that they have to
  18. im gonna go for this at just 2.5%, even if only to pay off my other loans!
  19. Snap
  20. Guy I know who passed the other year had a coffin made up from wood he had milled himself over the years. He even tried it out for size before he passed away
  21. Looks like some sort of Juniper to me
  22. I agree a good climbers worth that, but getting it is another matter. The amount of firms that are happy to pay this are few and far between. Even getting £180 a day can be a push but is a more realistic target on the whole
  23. Yes its worth it. If you can walk the walk you will never be short of work. Money varies depending what part of the country you're in but a top climber should be able to get £170 -£180 a day.
  24. I think some of them probably do. I’ve tried to make the directory as clear to people as possible as to what it is they are going to he getting, there’s always be those that just don’t ‘get it’
