  1. i think rfs would probably serve you better, its more recognisable, especially by homeowners. In the states the ISA is much more recognized it seems....it would be nice for it to be the same here. ive yet to meet a homeowner who has a clue what the ISA is other than somewhere you can put your money! im sure it would make you more employable though in answer to your question
  2. fingers cross they'll keep on top of it!
  3. Heres part of a job i started today.....just a few more pieces to finished on monday and the butt to fell. went pretty well all in all, not too much landed in the drink!
  4. Does anyone here do any ammount of bracing? its something i enjoy doing but rarely do. most customers tend to turn their nose up at the price. Last tree i braced i used the Gefa system from treeworker and it works out more reasonable but its still a job to sell!
  5. lush job today, speedlining a biggish ash tree i'll get some video up tonight if i get time to edit it!
  6. new world record set by Mark Chisholm in the footlock at the hawaii ITCC of 13.8 seconds, heres the vid! http://www.freeworker.de/hawaii/movies/marcchisholm_13_8_sek_footlock.WMV
  7. cracking day here today....i almost caught myself moaning about the heat and had to remind myself how crap it has been the past few months and made the most of it, think i even got a tan!
  8. mark, this is something that has been discussed severeal times. the best one ive heard yet was i believe from peter. if you have secured your footlock line ie with a butterfly run up to the tip, you need only tie your friction hitch to the secured end of the doubled line. sounds confusing i know, do you follow?
  9. look like typical council specs to me!!!!! jp, that falcon rescue job sounded cool!
  10. welcome tom. good to have you on board!
  11. i agree.......im sure you did the maths on your original figures and were happy with the profit margin thor...stick with it i say!
  12. hi baz, welcome to the site. i think the internet is the way to go regards selling, why limit yourself to one area? the forums are the best place to find out about new equipment, in fact each year the arb shows are never so fun anymore, i already know what new is going to be there!! i'd advise you to go to some shows next year, AA and APF, watch who is busy and try to see why!
