Particularly liked the way Aborecology set up camp next to a nice old Oak with a fine Ganoderma resinaceum.

Stylish.

Not so sure I would of been so happy setting up me camp where Rich did, directly under an Ash with Inonotus hispidus hosted upon it. :scared1:

Found a new species for me later on, belive it to be called Fistulina shuttlerii

Here on a grouted dead Sweet chestnut trunk.

A little excursion......

Curtesy of Les (Buster dreadknock), a trip to see a mightily impressive Sweet Chestnut at PORC.

http://www.ukdirt.com/porc/directions.php

We measured the seven coppice poles at 15.5 meters.

Like the way they have recreated it and started off a new one close by.

We met Mike the landowner, who was a first class nutty eccentric.

Top bloke.

He's been building this (not sure what it actually is), for more time than he cares to remmember.

Remarkable building.

In to the night, for the ones who stayed, a good time was had.

Was suprised that when dusk hit, the M1 boys all became a bit Girly and got in a cab and hightailed it to their snug wee hotel rooms.

Guess they believe the myth that we Suverners turn in to flesh eating Zombies at night.........

The morning after......................

Mick on tea duty, John on crusty mug duty, Andy on cleaning up & fumigation duty, and Stevie considering a career change.

Again, Nice one Mr Jones, great venue, look forward to next years.
