Small garden

Doin a little work for someone, it is removing two climber and ivy archways that are making his wife ill and removing a small tree stump for now. ( hedge to reduce and a patch of turf to lay soon. Admin please edit my post to allow pictures to show if they don't. I try my best and they just don't work.

The two archways to be removed. I would top them with my chainsaw and dig the rest out, the hedge to be reduced in size to allow for a proper path/turf, and the tree stump is around a foot in diameter. i am considering dig around the stump and cut it off below ground level. The customer would be happy with that. What would you charge? Price for both archways and stump, hedge and turf/seeding inline with the concrete, seperate. Thanks

Sounds a bit steep to me.

I don't get these posts asking what price to charge etc. Surely its a case of working out your overheads, how much you need to earn a day and how long the job will take.

Not asking potential competitors what a job is worth.

I didn't ask the question! I answered it! try getting off your high horse for 5 mins!

Hard to say what you should charge as we don't know your situation/overheads.

But as a guesstimate from pics, would take us about 2-2.5 hours, thats If we ground the stump out. Don't mess about digging it out, could be half a days back braking work! And when you say cut it off below ground level hoping you don't mean using a chainsaw!?

It can be tough pricing stuff, but as people have said its not so much a case of how much to charge, it's how much do you need to charge to make it worth while? If your overheads are fuel to get there, and sarnies for the day!

£100 is happy days!

But if like us, you have wages, insurance, fuel, wear and tear on kit etc etc wouldn't be worth it for £100

easy! how much would you like in your pocket after you have done the job.

if your not sure how long it will take theres an easy way to find out.

btw i hate pricing stuff so take my advice with as much salt as you like.
