Picked up the 880 yesterday. Many will disagree, but it's soooo light!

After lugging an 075 051 and 056super this is much easier.

Testing on Monday with 24" ash logs to mill. Will bed in the engine over the weekend.

Yeah an 8 tooth sprocket increases chain speed but lowers torque.

On my ms440 the 8 tooth sprocket makes it bog easier on logs over 16".

Hoping that won't be a problem with the 880?

I've read about much bigger sprockets but stihl only sell an 8 tooth.

Anyone any experience with bigger sprockets?

As you rightly point out you will sacrifice torque . The only benefit I have found is when you have a ported saw on a shorter bar then you can make use of the faster chain speed . You put a bigger powermate on a standard saw and a relatively long bar and it will bog and struggle . I have some 9t .325 sprockets and some " racing " sprockets 12 and 14 pin but you need a highly tuned saw not an everyday working saw .
