I'm glad you gave me the heads up, I was going to offer to do it for him !

 

He would be looking at getting it done for free being though you both come from the same part of the country..he's a good old Welsh lad. So best stay clear:thumbup:

That's the cylinder cover.

£280 still seems expensive

 

I didn't like to say but it does seem steep but guess others have larger overheads then me.

 

The only reason I said it is that I have a couple of the grey covers in the workshop.....no time though:blushing::001_rolleyes:

:001_huh:the saw is back and the bank balance is looking a bit slimmer. This is what they listed

 

Fuel tank £65.19

Cylinder cover assembly £17.90

Heat deflector Cylinder £3.32

AV Spring £7.20

Threaded insert £1.40

Hose £2.16

Labour £120.00

VAT £43.71

Total £262.28

Was the fuel tank damaged? it is the only anomaly on the list that I can see!

 

Not that I can remember Steve but I had smashed the handle so would the handle and tank be one piece

£120 labour!!! At least dick Turpin wore a mask!! It's a half hour job without the fuel tank. Fitting the wiring and trigger assembly in the new tank handle assembly say another half hour max!

And that's after I got a bit of discount :001_huh: I don't think they will be selling me any saws anymore because they are way too pricey and no more repairs will be going their way either
