Oh and there's red squirrels everywhere!

Was it Jersey where they have black squirrels too? I was there about 28 yrs ago I think. Seem to remember black but it might have been red.

Thats the great thing about Tree Work, you can work and experience the local culture just about anywhere.

Best of luck on your new advernture, sometimes I miss the life style I led for 8 years of travelling around doing Tree work.

Hi,

Cycling around the island today, I bumped into Mr Le Maistre and delightfull children at a cafe on the North coast and had a chat with him. It's a small island in a small world ain't just!

Hi I worked for Jon, Like the others say it is expensive down there and not a cheap place to live. If you can stay on the yard where Le Maistre is based you will do well. But bare in mind although you get paid well the trade off is the cost of living is high. I worked for a week there to trail what it was like. I really enjoyed it but could not justify the extra living costs. It brings back memories of driving the 7.5 ton trucks and the big Unimog down the narrow lanes and I mean they are narrow! :scared1: Easy tree work most of the time. But overall great guy to work for.
