  17. Hi I worked for Jon, Like the others say it is expensive down there and not a cheap place to live. If you can stay on the yard where Le Maistre is based you will do well. But bare in mind although you get paid well the trade off is the cost of living is high. I worked for a week there to trail what it was like. I really enjoyed it but could not justify the extra living costs. It brings back memories of driving the 7.5 ton trucks and the big Unimog down the narrow lanes and I mean they are narrow! Easy tree work most of the time. But overall great guy to work for.
  18. Yes I have worked for Jonathon La Maistre for a short while over in jersey. good company to work for. . big outfit and loads of gear. Big lorries small lanes nerve wracking driving them down the lanes! it is expensive there for accommodation and general living, although the he did have accommodation on site for the workers. I think there only two big firms on the whole island.

  23. Draft control levers have to be right back to back where the catch latches on to the lever then the lever switch has to be in middle position.
  24. Does it have its own PTO pump to drive splitter or is it run off the hydraulics. If off the PTO then turn PTO to 1000 rpm . It could be the hydraulic pump thats knacked. I used to have a 800 series DB with a PTO splitter on the back. hope this helps.
