No idea where the corners are you'll have to ask the troll! Can't see any on the pics of the saw

Then there is the cheap and brittle feeling Echo plastic with sharp corners in the wrong places etc.

There are sharp edges all over that saw. The thing that goes round the guide bar on it has the worst, there are loads of them and they really hurt.

Outrageous. It shouldn't be on sale

Was that the first con rod that sits over the casing plate? I had the other snap once and it seems permanently integrated between the gears.

There are two if the blades are reciprocating (both moving) and I guess one if only one blade moves but only done the former!

Going back to the 501sx.....

Every time I go to clean the air filter I take it off and find fine dust inside the air filter and inside the carb.

I have taken it back to the dealer to look at and they have said it is due to me not cleaning it regularly enough and also running the chain with the depth gauges too high or a blunt chain.

I admit I probably don't clean the air filter as often as I should and have at times had a blunt chain when cutting down stumps, but I treat all of my saws the same and have had no problems with this on any other saws.

Any one had the same problem?

yeah I prefer the filter in the CS-450, looks like the pleated type you get in a car. AFAIK you can get an alternative flocked filter for the CS-501, pretty sure I saw it on a US website.

560XP are guilty of this , does the dealer think a saw only creates chip when cutting !
