I got some of the arbormax ascend in the new year and so far i like them a lot. They are the most comfy trousers I've ever had in over 20years of doing this job. I'm only a light user these days (part time climber doing work in gardens) but they seem to be lasting ok. I don't know how long they would last if you where working in really bad brambles all the time. They're not as tough as pfaner gladiators and the like, but you can't have every thing in one pair of light pants.

I had them custom made to fit me as i couldn't get anything big enough in the uk. customer service was really good and it didn't take very long to arrive in the uk. total cost including import tax and delivery was about £230. I guess with the weak pound that will have changed now.

I ordered them from Zenitec NZ, and I was served by Hayden Smith who was extremely helpful.

For the price I think they represent excellent value but of course the shipping and import tax puts the price up a bit. (My client was paying though lol!)

I also got a box of FR tops which are also very comfortable.
