£450 with free delivery, and it hasn't failed on anything I've given it, even seasoned knotty beech and oak

That looks a good splitter don't know how they can make it for that money. As to weather its CE compliant is another question.

I love mine too when running on the 885 it is really quick and munches through most bits i put in its way.

Have also come to the same conclusion re the deck, mine is getting modified on mine as son as i can get some plate.

A local machinery supplier is bringing them into the Isle of Man, i bought mine from him for £550 - would have cost me £80 shipping so figured id shop local...

No it is not CE compliant, only one lever for operation and pull down and the splitter blade goes down. All bad in their eyes.. but great to use.

Dangerous Brian has one of these splitters , it has split near on 400 tons of timber over the last two years and is still going strong , the only problem is the size of the bed , if you are splitting large rings it can be a pita but other than that its faultles .

HI C T S ref size of bed of splitter fit a larger bed mate job done it looks a good splitter for £500 with the posch splitter at 6 times the price the bed is too small owell happy all jon

totally agree Jon , it was only meant as tomething to take into consideration , bri has been uing his without changing it but it would be something that could do with being bigger , but totally agree that for the price your paying then its nowt that cant be fixed for a couple quid and a welding rod or two .
