pop for saw logs, never herd of that, but then again i am not really into the milling side of things.

would love to have that david brown as a yard tractor. great pics.

yeahh poplar has alright timber properties, years ago a lot of poplar was milled at the big saw mills, people dont want it now, some of this we are probably gunna mill up for the owner, they want some stuff for the inside bits of a shed they are building

I think you have beaten me to having the scruffest tractor. Long may they live.

Is there much of a market for popular saw logs, as i have a couple of acres of popular to thin, and i am not sure what i am going to do with all the wood ?

would your buyer be interested ?

nahh barely any market for them really and nah he wouldnt be interested see this site is on a dairy farm so they have a lot of poplar to keep them busy lol

Someone i know in the village wanted some woodchip so he came and picked it up on his tractor and trailer. He has had it since 1990 and uses it loads. even travels about 12 miles along the road on a regular basis to tend to his pockets of land dotted around.
