Got any more pics of the winch? I've never seen one are they any good.

Yeah,I'll try and put some more pics on tomorrow. We like it a lot. It has a chain rather than a wire rope which is working well, and it's hydraulic rather than pto so the tractor is just running at tickover.

didn't upload them that time

loving the 118....not sure on your highlander looks smart....looks very much like a 4000 four? But the 4cyl bit throws me?.

My mate runs a 5000 with a automower winch that's 4 cyl.

My 4000 is 3cyl.

Great tractor's though mate:thumbup:

Cheers Matty :thumbup1:

I like the idea of the chain hydraulic combo.

I get pissed when forced to release a turn, that digs in, gets snagged, or was just plain too heavy.

And the wire rope takes off with a bang, free spooling the winch drum and jumping the snugly wound coils loose.

Have to drive forward and winch myself back again to keep the rope sweet on the winch drum.

At least with hydraulic one can "back off" or reverse the rope/chain under tension.

Hmmm?

He thinks, one o them Raubald hydraulic winchs on the front of the ould DB ud double up as a (kinda expensive) recovery winch.

I like the winch. Why does it use a chain rather than wire rope. Seems strange.
