Hi Treefolk,

Your existing leafs will be 3+2 I should imagine. I ordered some 4+2 leafs through this company for my ranger tipper, good product and helpful people.

Hope that helps.

Thanks. Did you find the conversion helped it sit higher when fully loaded? How hard are they to fit?

Most certainly, a vast improvement. Sits about 35mm higher in general.

I had a local mechanic fit mine, but should be quite easy if you've got the spare time. The bolts that hold the spring into the mount at either end can become corroded and prove difficult to get out, as was the case with mine.

I used Owen springs in rotherham to make mine, got five plus two now and much heavier duty steel. Somebody at some point had moved the mounts on my ranger and fitted Navara springs so they made mine bespoke and kept the sizes. They were two hundred and seventy from memory with u bolts etc. I'd recommend them.

How have the various purchases worked out for people?

Ive contacted Owens at Rotherham. Been given 3 choices.

Standard 3+2

Uprated 4+2 or 5+2

Its a tipper and most of its loaded work will be fencing.

However when im truck driving it will be empty quite a bit and im wondering how hard the ride might be.
