I have one of these 3 cylinder engines in my Avant.

Where is a good place to get service parts and spares from?

I have an overheating issue, at least the light on he dash says it's hot, when I work it hard. Going to do a service and coolant flush.

Are head gaskets falling common on this engine?

Cheers did any help / advice.

Al.

I have had various tractors, diggers, boats ect with kabota engines and they have all never missed a heart beat (that's a lie, I broke the sump nut of a compact tractor on a rock and didn't realise until I came back along the track and came to a slow and painful stop whilst looking at the black skid mark on the track. Learnt to not break the sump nut off that day) don't want to tell you to suck

eggs but have you hovered out the radiator it may just be a bit blocked!

I'd be interested too as I hate a 4 pot 1.5l kubota that I think is running a bit hot. No warning lights but reading just over 200 when working dropping down to 150 or so after slowing down.

I'm thinking it may want a fresh thermostat as its on a mower and so runs for long periods in hot weather

If u live in a hard water area u may find a rad flush a waste of time because once blocked the flush can't get to the chalk and it needs a recore. Try pouring water in the top of the rad if it sits and takes its time. The other thing I have done is gently push a thin rod down the water ways from the filler neck often the rod will stop after an inch or so.
