Ah! Spring has sprung! Hibernation over!

The Echo and Dolmar clowns are out as usual, but the brands' saws doesn't become competitive anyway, and likely never will.

I'm not having another 562 after the issues I've had with this one. If the Echos etc. offer good power to weight and cut just as well then I'd be keen to try one. The fact they are a couple of hundy cheaper helps too.

Performance is great, but if it keeps letting you down, whats the point. Better to have a saw that starts and runs every time than a faster one that doesn't run at all. Our 261 was a dog too. The dolly 6100 is quite a nice saw, but not as fast as the 560, its been reliable though.

If you get a chance try out the Echo CS 620 SX, i've owned mine for 3 months now and love it, easy holds it's own with a 560 or the 362, if you want something a bit lighter try the new CS 501 from Echo, you wouldn't be disappointed.

No one mention echo!

Eh?! Re-read the thread!

There are ample reasons for that.

The brand doesn't deserve to be mentioned.

Japanese precision engineering vs Swedish popular Junk! You just carry on emptying the lake with the leaky limpet shell.

Clowns; well yeah, we're having the last laugh as we keep on cutting wood while the Husqvarnas go on vacation to the docking station yet again. :001_rolleyes:
