Traced grinders are far better on banks and grass but can also make a hell of a mess if not used carefully, wheeled 4x4 is probably the best of both worlds.

 

Good point Ian, i am planning to keep the 2010 for crap access jobs and get something bigger to tackle a more diverse range of stumps, plus im fed up of ragging myself backwards and forwards :thumbdown:

I feel your pain, I always use the carlton when ever possible, if the pedestrian machine goes out one of my guys usually does it!:rolleyes:

 

Oh and spend a bit more and get remote you won't regret it, I once ground a big stump out in the rain sat in the van lol.

To be fair the 2010 has tackled some big stumps, but its took 2 of us double teaming it to get it out, i would imagine remote machines are much user friendly.

I haven't broken sweat grinding in the last 4 years and there so easy to see what your grinding.
