So if they are asking 40 a cube I would be paying around a £60 per tonne?

So if they are selling by the m3 it's of solid wood not what fits on the wagon. Never knew this.

I always found beech great as long as it was around 10 inch. The small 4 in branches can be really twisty and create a lot of air space.

Any ideas on what a ton equates to to in m3 cut/split & ready to sell ?? For instance how many m3 processed into ibc's ready to go would you get from 25ton delivered Ash/sycamore cord ?? Thanks.

With 9 inch we work on 1.8 cube from one fresh ton. You'll get a bit more if you cut longer.

Generally beech is 0.9 ash 0.8

i have been offered 22m3 stack of round wood, mixed ash and oak. what sort of weight would that be.
