Anyone got one? A friend of mine, (pro user) bought one 15 years ago and its still going strong, and its a nice little saw too. I saw one on eBay this afternoon and bought it on a whim for £100.... I might send it to spud. Anyway any of you saw nerds want to tell me all about it, I seem to remember its fairly similar in construction to the 357 but less cc and no xp??

They are good machines, not the same as the 357 or 346 as the engine sits in and engineering plastic case but it does have a traditional flat bottomed cylinder that sits on an alloy riser top crankcase and the lower crankcase is formed by the plastic engine cradle.

They go well, used the smaller 345 for quite a while. They are open port rather than closed port like the 357 & 346.

Not a bad saw IMO, low vibes and a good turn of cutting speed.

Have had 3 so far and would get another without hesitation. With the mods Spud said about they have a noticeable step up in response and power. They rev even in standard tune to 13000 free and have 3.1 hp ..there not heavy ether plus have spring AV's. There a decent semi pro Husqvarna , plenty of spares around new and second hand. 351 ...if you can find one is a mag ally case version but the polymer 350 is no bother. One thing..needs the plastic intake clamp upgrading if its not been done ...later ones had a primmer bulb as well.

And whats the difference between open and closed port?

cheers

The open port is where the transfers are open to the side of the cylinder and closed are enclosed with the cylinder wall.

Open ports are often used in homeowner kit but the MS200 is a good exception to this.
