Rope splicing in Devon

Is there any one in Devon who can splice or can recommend someone who can splice a climbing line?

Need a new eye on the end of my rope.

... 6yrs later... Did you find anyone to do this? I am in Devon with the same need. Put a bloody spike in my nice clean rope. So annoying.

Cheers, didn't see your reply. I had messaged them before I posted on here actually. Sadly no joy. I have been wondering if a shop like hb would do it,  but I expect only on the new ropes that they sell. I will ask though...

Surely you must be inundated with chandlery's down there? I've had ropes spliced at such places before now.

not sure they can provide LOLER certs , which I think would be required , I always spliced my own in the past , and prussic / blakes , but not the new types of rope ...

Make sure that whoever splices it is familiar with the manufacturer and type of rope before they touch it. @Rich Rule and his Tachyon splice is a good example of Boat yards sometimes biting off more than they can chew.
