Company logos, ideas and advice.

Right I am getting all the little things together for my business venture and have come to a bit of a stop sign.

I have got my company name and have bounced a few ideas around for a logo but nothing is looking right (I am a terrible artist).

I'm just looking for a little advice in this area, what people did to get there logo?

I would like to avoid spending the best part of a grand on something like this but I fear going down the graphic design route may be my only option :-/.

As I'm just starting out maybe it is something I can hold off for a bit but I'd like to get some business cards made up and think is maybe best to get the logo out there and stuck in people's minds early on.

Any ideas, what did you guys do when you were setting up shop?

Thanks in advance people.

Firstly lets make one thing clear. Your logo isn't going to stick in anyones mind. We cut down trees. As long as it doesn't look like a 5 year olds done it then really anything will work fine. You certainly don't need to spend a fortune at this stage. There are sites where you can get the work done pretty cheap though. Logo Design, Web Design and More. | 99designs is a site I have had good results with in the past for both arbsafe and treeshirtz logo, as well as a few t-shirt designs.

Thanks Steve. It's looking a lot less of a problem already. I will spend some time looking though these sites and see if anything pops out at me.
