Oh I knew exactly what you were getting at! After the workshop we have got a few things ticked off the list so this year is a goer!

I think the old logo was more iconic. Perhaps not necessarily household recognised but the potential was there. I'm sorry to say this imo is a bit of a let down and perhaps a refreshed version in a similar format would have been wiser.

However I'm sure if this is what is in place now that it will become recognisable once more.

It's a great company and the logo won't detract from the excellent work they do.

Apparently, the new logo was derived from the old one, albeit in an updated more contemporary format but I'm not sure exactly how.

I am not sure about the "ARB Approved" bit. It looks like the A. R. B. should mean something as opposed to just being short for Arboriculture. Before we were Arboricultural Association Approved Contractors - where as now the logo does not say who we are approved by. We are therefore just - Arboriculture Approved Contractors ...?

Maybe change your name to the Tree Contractors Association or something more identifiable.

 

The letters "AA" brings too many other (bigger) organizations to mind.

 

Not much use to consultants, that. Also AA doesn't cover forestry, arboriculture is predominantly about amenity trees, differentiating it from timber production (silviculture).

 

So, Amenity Tree Contractors and Consultants Association? Or how about Arb Association?
