TV Licensing

ELG, I've been to the U.S. and watched the TV.

My TV licence here in the UK is about the same cost as a paper cup of coffee from Costa / Starbucks. This also pays for the BBC radio production costs.

I'd gladly pay that to be able to listen to BBC radio 4, radio 5 and radio 2 rather than anything with adverts in it. So the TV is free!

Better your £££ than my $$$. I generally ignore ads on TV or radio that I do not want to listen to. Keep paying and I will keep enjoying for free. BTW, I Also have access to Iheart radio here in the states with thousands of stations covering all subject matter and music selection, best of all the price is still FREE.

Advertising and commercial interests. For example a car maker could have a documentary of their car being built, developed etc.

Whilst we are discussing TV licence fee, paying for the privledge to watch. What about SKY. I've never had it but I've heard people pay £30 upwards a month, then every so often a commercial break then in movies etc just as it's hotting up ten minutes before the end. Another commercial.

I know some people record and skip the ads.

But in theory you have paid for it.

An opportunity here lads.

Turn up to a job.

Get gear out.

Walk around with sandwich boards with ads on. Or play recorded ads.

Start saws out get job going.

Just as it gets to an exciting bit or the kids leaving school down tools.

Take a commercial.

Finish job

Get paid for job and advert work.

You wouldn't do it would you, yet we accept it with TV.

No ad breaks in movies on Sky.
