Waterproof Forestry boots THAT LAST?

I always wore Haix Tibet forest , fell to bits very quickly. Meindl Woodwalkers on the ground these days , found them very good so far , about a year old .

I have found the Tirol boots better for getting in and out of machinery, and the Scarfel boots better for grip. Both have lasted well provided you look after them.

Both boots are equally waterproof, but when the going gets wet, break out the wellies.

I still have not decided which boot i like the best, and over the years these two have proved to be the best.

I'm a cheapskate and won't pay 200 quid for a pair of boots. I generally wear rigger boots costing 40 quid, on me second pair in two years. I only work on the ground, I don't like gravity changing it's behaviour at heights. The only concession to safety is the steel toecaps. A pair of Doc Martin's were lasting well sole wise until the pallet loader ripped off the leather on top of the toe cap. Could've been me tootsies I suppose so no harm done. I glued the leather back together and they're ready to go again - true cheapskate stylie. The laces last only minutes though which is rubbish from the Doc.

What about buying three pairs of comfortable budget boots? Wax em up good, even if they not the most waterproof in the world they be fine for a day, and just rotate them. Always have a dry pair that way. Better a dry pair of cheap boots than chronically damp expensive boots no?

I've never had wet feet with the airstreams.

I've also never had a bad pair, 2 sets in 3 years.

A few lads I work with have had quality issues with them though mainly with the soles coming away.

It's coming to that time where I need to change and those arbotecs look decent so these might be worth a punt

Never had wet feet in two pairs of Airstreams too Chris...Quality Boot...but i like the look of Andrew for my next pair

I was looking at those Paul but I want overly convinced that those foam souls would be able to last didn't seem solid enough, plus........... Andrew!!! 😂

For on the ground haix protector pro they last years & your feet will always be warm & dry
