This is a video of my processor being used as a splitter. I really do like the versatility and simplicity of the dalen, ideal for if your someone like myself who have a mix of cord and arbwaste to process, this just eats up both with imo good output!

Hopefully the link below will work.

Looks very useful how you can move all the guards to do big stuff.

We did a rare bit of contracting yesterday, it was horrible wood so we did 18 tote bags in 4 hours.

The dalen has like a 3 piece guard, the end peice/caging was taken off when I bought it as the guy found it more convenient and accessible and I have found it to be a lot easier without it, the guard going over the saw and in feed area I just lifted it up and folded it back and did the same with the next peice that goes over the splitting chamber. I believe with the newer models u can't do this because of all the safety features and sensors??

Yes, seems like most new machines have auto off when you lift the guard. Not that it can't be bypassed. ;)

I've been doing one of my least favourite jobs today - picking up all the small bent bits from the end of a stack. Every time I straightened one it moved another...

Sounds like you had fun! How long do you keep the wood stacked up as cord before you process it?

It looks well seasoned

We aim for a year for oak but the ash in the picture is only just over 6 months.
