281XP coil needed

I was hoping someone could help me. My 281 has lost spark. Has anyone got a coil and trigger unit for a 281 for sale or trade by any chance?

Hi Wes,

 

Gardenkit has a load of saw bits which as I understand he will part with for a donation to charity & if my memory serves me there was a fair amount of Sthls - so may be worth a pm.

Wes has a 281XP Husqvarna - the big old school 80cc banger of a saw so it will be the two part coil he is after and not a Stihl.......correct me if I am wrong Wes?

Thanks, Guys. Yes, Steve, unless I can figure out a way to make something else work, I'll need the coil and the trigger unit for a Husqvarna 281XP. Desperately, too, as we've loads of huge trees down on the estate due to the weather.

Mike - by 'trigger unit' I meant the secondary coil component that comes with the 281 coil. It triggers the coil.

From memory I was told once that it is usually the trigger unit that fails and not the main coil
