Cobra version of Kaaz

I understand that The professional Cobra range along with Lawnflight are re badged Kaaz machines, but the Cobra 19" uses a Subaru engine instead of a Kawasaki engine. Is the Subaru engine any good?

All the Kaaz 19" machines are now being fitted with the Subaru engine. The Cobra is merely a rebadged Kaaz.

Apparently Kaaz had been having some issues with Kawasaki and decided to switch to Subaru.

The Subaru, even though seldom found, has a great reputation.

I believe it to be a bit of both.

There is no hydrostatic version in the UK Kaaz range

I take it with the kaaz mowers the only way to mulch is by taking it into the workshop and fitting the mulch kit, you can't switch between mulching and collecting?

No you fit the upper blade and insert/ take out the plug.

Ah so it will still collect ok with the mulching blade on? I like to be able to switch between mulch/collect as the conditions suit
