I think it would be great to join the infantry now especially in the current situation beats sitting in barracks cleaning guns.... why join the army if you dont want to go to war?? thats the only reason i never joined because i thought i would be spending my time mincing around in northern ireland getting rocks thrown at you by kids and the ocaisional road side bomb.... every major conflict we have had since i have kicked my self for not joining up!

What Ed said, I've worked for Defense trainning estates for years.

 

You stand no chance of getting work with them direct.

 

As for the other enquiry I'm not about to give away hard earned info on who to speak to lol !! That knowledege has taken ten years to accumalate.

Colchester garrison was run by McAlpines, then contracted out thru different sub-contractors, I dont know about other bases.

 

ALL MOD Land is run by Sodexho and LANDMARC Andy, some sub-contract certain aspects.

 

I'm talking about Landscaping and Tree works before my 'knowledge' gets thundered into the ground as per usual.
