As for the HSE representative, -HSE inspector Neil Ward said: ‘Chainsaws are dangerous pieces of machinery in untrained hands.

‘It is sheer good fortune that no one was hurt that day.’

 

 

 

….and yet you can go out and buy "a dangerous piece of machinery " from B&Q and use it with no training ……

Yep, I bought a top handle saw a few days ago (off internet) and was never asked what qualifications I have to be able to use the saw. My CS 38 / 39 course isn't until April but there is nothing stopping me from using the saw before then!
